Sustainability - The University of Texas at Dallas
Campus Sustainability Month

Held every October, Campus Sustainability Month (CSM [Campus Sustainability Month] ) is an international celebration of sustainability in higher education. Throughout the month, colleges and universities organize events on campus and elsewhere to engage and inspire incoming students and other campus stakeholders to become sustainability change agents.

UT Dallas is proud to participate in AASHE [Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education] Campus Sustainability Month! The Office of Sustainability hosts events to raise awareness of the value of sustainability in higher education. Hours for each event are applicable to UTD Sustainability Honors.
The goal of CSM [Campus Sustainability Month] is to raise the visibility of campus sustainability and provide campus sustainability advocates with a platform through which to deepen campus engagement around sustainability. It provides an excellent opportunity to recruit new leaders and set goals for the rest of the year. It serves as a complement to Earth Week, which is held each year in April, and is often a time for celebration and recognition of the good work that took place over the course of the academic year. UT Dallas Earth Week

In 1970, the first Earth Day was recognized when millions of Americans gathered at universities and cities, starting the modern environmental movement. Since then, it has been used worldwide to safeguard our planet and fight for a brighter future.

UTD is celebrating its 15th annual Earth Week, hosted by the Office of Sustainability and the Office of Student Volunteerism, to continue the legacy of Earth Day. Subscribe to our sustainability newsletter for more information.
