
The Green Office Certification Program (PDF [Portable Document Format File] ) is a fun, user-friendly tool that helps you to how “green” you opperate on an individual, office and department level, both on campus and remotely. Offices are ranked as Leader, Advanced, Active or Foundational level certification based on their sustainable practices.

Eligibility
On Campus
- Must be a University department or an office/unit within a department.
- Must have more than two full-time employees comprising the department and/or office.
- Must operate in an in-person or hybrid work format.
Remote Office
- Must be a full-time staff member in a University department or an office/unit within a department.
- Must have more than two full-time employees comprising the department and/or office.
- Must operate in a hybrid or remote format.
Become a Certified Green Office!
On Campus
- Get support from your office leadership to participate in the program.
- Complete the Green Office Certification Form.
- Coordinate with your colleagues to complete the items to the best of your ability.
- Contact sustainability@utdallas.edu for review and optional consultation.
Remote Office
- Complete the Remote Green Office Certification Form.
- Complete the items to the best of your ability.
- Contact sustainability@utdallas.edu for review and optional consultation.
Celebrating Green-ness
- Certified green offices will receive signage to hang in recognition of their sustainability efforts.
- All certified offices will be recognized on the sustainability website.
Sustainability Ambassadors
The contact listed on the Green Office Certification application will be designated as a Sustainability Ambassador. The Sustainability Ambassador will be the point of contact between the Office of Sustainability and the certified office.
