Love Pollinators? Help Expand Their Habitat by Spreading Native Plant Seeds!

On March 12 from 10:00 - 11:00 .a.m., the Office of Sustainability, in collaboration with the Grounds Department, will be reseeding approximately four acres of native pollinator habitat and no-mow zone for the growing season. Join us for an hour of planting wildflower seeds that will bloom in the spring and summer. This is a great way to earn one volunteer hour and a point towards Sustainability Honors. Registration is now open on EngageUTD!

Help Luna Farm Flourish at Upcoming Workdays!

Luna Farm will host a workday on Saturday, March 28, between 8:00 - 10:00 .a.m. This opportunity is open to all current students, staff and faculty. Volunteers will perform basic gardening tasks such as weeding, watering, harvesting, planting and laying mulch. Some of our workdays include a formal educational component on basic gardening topics such as seasonal planting, composting, harvesting, fruit tree care and more! This is a great way to earn volunteer hours and Sustainability Honors points. Registration is now open on EngageUTD!

Ready to Care for Your Own Plants?

Meet fellow plant lovers, grow your own collection or take home something new. All students are invited to bring their plants, cuttings, or propagations to trade with others.* Don’t have a plant to swap? No worries. While supplies last, we’ll have a free cutting for every student who stops by!

Please ensure that any plants brought to trade are pest free and in good health!

Over a grean field of daisies, text which reads “UTD Sustainability Honors. Acrue 15 pints of sustainability engagements, earn graduation regalia!”.
