Register to Pursue Sustainability Honors

Are you passionate about building a more sustainable world? Sustainability Honors recognizes graduate and undergraduate students who went above and beyond to engage with and learn more about sustainability during their time at UTD. There are many ways to earn points - you may have already earned some! The deadline for Spring 2026 graduates to submit engagements is April 1, 2026.

Luna Farm Workdays Are Back!

Make loving the earth part of your Valentine’s Day! Beginning February 14, 2026, Luna Farm will host workdays on Saturday mornings between 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. that are open to all current students, staff, and faculty. Volunteers will perform basic gardening tasks such as weeding, watering, harvesting, planting, and laying mulch. Some workdays will include a formal educational component on basic gardening topics such as seasonal planting, composting, harvesting, fruit tree care, and more! This is a great way to earn volunteer hours and Sustainability Honors points. Registration is open now on EngageUTD.

Be a Part of the Spring 2026 Class of Sustainability Stewards!

Registration for Sustainability Stewards training is now open for students, staff and faculty! This free, virtual certification is an overview of basic sustainability principles, sustainability on campus, and more. At the end of the training, participants will receive the Sustainability Steward designation as well as a certificate and a Sustainability Steward sticker to display. This certification is also eligible for 3 Sustainability Honors points!

Comet Honey Sale

UTD’s bees and student Honey Helpers have been hard at work. Taste the fruits of their labor at the Comet Honey Sale on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Market at the Student Union.
